Privacy Policy
Trail of Joy Management Group, LLC (“TOJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the tojcampaign.com website and related Services, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details submitted through the “3 free ideas” form or newsletter signup — primarily email address and, optionally, a one-line description of your business.
- Foundation Score™ intake responses, which include business identity, operations, revenue architecture, content, and growth signals appropriate to the vertical you select. These are used to produce your written Operational Transcript™.
- Communication content when you email or otherwise contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, referring URL, timestamps) collected by our hosting provider and edge network as part of standard web operation.
- Local storage used by intake forms to autosave your progress client-side. This data lives in your browser, not on our servers, until you submit.
Information we do not collect
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or exchange personal data with data brokers.
- We do not fingerprint devices or use covert identifiers.
2. How we use information
- To deliver Services you request — the Operational Transcript, weekly letter, requested materials, or an ongoing engagement.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To improve the Services — using aggregated, anonymized patterns across many operators to sharpen the Standard.
- To operate the business — billing, contract administration, and legal compliance.
- To send occasional updates you have opted into (for example, the Weekly Letter). You may unsubscribe at any time.
3. How we share information
We share information only with the parties needed to run the Services:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate the website and store submitted data (e.g., our web host, database provider, email service).
- Payment processors when a client purchases a paid engagement.
- Legal and professional advisors as needed to protect the business.
- Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of TOJ, with equivalent commitments to your privacy.
- Governmental or judicial authorities if legally compelled.
We do not sell personal information for consideration.
4. Data retention
Intake and engagement data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the Services, honor contractual commitments, and comply with legal or accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by writing to hello@tojcampaign.com. Certain records (invoices, executed contracts) will be retained where required by law.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated information.
- Opt out of communications you have previously opted into.
- Request that we restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
Contact hello@tojcampaign.com to exercise any of these rights. Residents of California, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom have specific statutory rights described in Section 7.
6. Security
TOJ takes commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information you submit — encrypted transport (HTTPS), reputable infrastructure providers, and access controls scoped to the four principals and any contractors under confidentiality obligations. No system is perfectly secure; TOJ cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
7. Regional rights
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information TOJ has collected about them in the preceding 12 months, request deletion, and request that TOJ not sell their personal information. TOJ does not sell personal information.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom residents
Under the GDPR / UK GDPR, EEA and UK residents have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to their personal data. Our legal bases for processing include your consent (for optional communications), contract performance (for delivering the Services you request), legitimate interests (for improving the Standard), and legal obligations.
8. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it.
For the Authority vertical, intake information about youth athletes is submitted by the athlete’s parent, legal guardian, or designated program representative, who represents that they have the authority to do so.
9. Changes to this Policy
TOJ may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
